I want to start an artist guild.
I want to start an artist guild that has a long and awesome manifesto.
Artists from all mediums, practices, and backgrounds standing up to spread compassion and education: Compassion for those without a voice, dehumanized in the dark. Poetic art to engage the masses, and speak the truth that every hand counts. Art that doesn't demonize anyone, or say "those are the bad guys." Art that questions social constructs, and ideology. Art that inspires both interpretation and solutions.

My First Flash Animation!
I must say though, Flash seems pretty backwards compared to After Effects.

Some Redesigning
Doing research for my paleta (ice pop) cart project. I'm redesigning the labels, the current ones are too complex and too designy.
This is the new Human Rights label.

Work in Progress: Paleta (Ice pop) Flavor labels
For my sculpture class I'm making Paletas (ice pops). This is a flavor sticker.
That symbol at the top right is the Aztec glyph for house. There will be a different glyph for different flavors.
Other flavors include:
* The American Dream
* Alien- Extranjero
* Equality
* Nativo
* ... And much more

Hello world!
First off, I can not thank you enough for visiting my humble little blog/portfolio on the net.
Welcome all, I am creating this blog mainly for documenting and sharing the work I make here at art school. As of now, I am in the second half of my sophomore year in college majoring in Intermedia, a double major of sort; my two focuses being Animation and Sculpture. During the course of this and future semesters, I will progressively add content here; which will consist of my school projects, and other personal pursuits.
Among the content posted here, I will share at least one new drawing every week.
Things are a little slow right now, but give me some time for my semester to progress.
...And once again, thank you for visiting!
-Michael Martínez
